Project: Bad Medicine 2000
We first demanded prescription inserts to prevent deadly reactions.  Then reports began to flood in; leading the wave, Revolution, Rimadyl and heartworm preventatives, but soon followed by a long list of prescription drugs, both human and veterinary, with seriously dangerous side effects.  It is totally up to you to protect your pets - and yourself!  No one else will, least of all the drug companies.  Read and learn.... AR Conspiracy 1992 Canine Chronicle column on animal rights extremists was predictive of today and scarier then ever when you look to the future!  It was never just about animals.  Every political agenda needs a vehicle...

PETA has begun a campaign to scare children into becoming vegetarians.  The group.. is producing comic books that portray fathers as homicidal maniacs.  The handout, titled "Your Daddy Kills Animals," features a grinning lunatic gutting a fish, and warns kids to keep their puppies and kittens away from Dad because he's "hooked on killing."  "... This is what PETA does — it paints caricatures of ordinary people to try to convince the rest of us that we shouldn't want to emulate them," said David Martosko, Center for Consumer Freedom.  But PETA insists that its comic is not outlandish….. Project: Vaccines 2001
A personal crusade by Andrews began in 1981, supported by Dr. Erbeck, eventually acknowledged in 2002 by the BVA.  It began with Parvo, led to rabies vaccine, and the expose' of unnecessary risks for needless vaccines, as finally admitted by the AMVA in 2004.  By 2005, a class action lawsuit was filed by Bob Rogers, DVM.  Results?  You betcha!  But this project is far from over.  Childhood vaccines now exposed...

ISSUE: BREEDER BILL OF RIGHTS
Member demands for a cohesive and unified front prompted our editors to begin gathering information on this ISSUE.  TheDogPlace.org Mission Statement requires complete dedication to the dog.  TheDogPress recognizes a serious threat to the private breeder whose true goal is to insure a loving home for every dog.  PLEASE provide ten points which you believe should be assured to every showing breeder and why you believe we can achieve the same USDA regulation exemptions extended to hunters and service dog breeders.  Send your list to BBR@TheDogPlace.org

Virginia Mandatory Spay/Neuter Bill - Proposed Jan 2006, state-wide, no exceptions for show or breeding animals.  AKC publicizing but question is; will AKC fight this "tooth and nail" as it has so vigorously fought the No-PAWS groups?

Home Invasion!! Virginia Style  Adjoining the nation's capitol seems to have made monsters of regulators.  VA. does not have a good history as regards companion animals.

Animal Rights vs The Showing Fancier What we can and can't do is becoming more and more restricted by AR groups and the misguided humaniacs.

Project: KATRINA 2005
Your response has been tremendous.  Contacts, where to donate, who is doing what.  TheDogPress Exclusive Interviews "AKC On-Scene" and a real "God-send" is just the beginning.  This is not going to end tomorrow, the dogs left stranded are all dead, even the cats have succumbed to starvation and disease.  Some hoofed animals were able to get to city parks and grass but according to the CDC, they will begin dying from the contaminated water as September draws to a sad close.  On-the-scene reports and updates, Needs & Wants notices, and now - RITA!!!
