Ch. Grandslam's Ky Brew At Midnite, AOM, TT

His call name is Bourbon (what other Kentucky brew could there possibly be) and like all fine Kentucky bourbons, he continues to get better with age.  Handled by Jo Ann Charnik, owned by Lynn Morgan, Midnite Akitas.

Winning with fine animals is not new to SARA & LYNN MORGAN of RICHMOND, KY.  In addition to membership in breed, obedience, agility and kennel clubs, Lynn has "capped" with Hunt Clubs and was as Honorary Whip at Licking River Hounds.  She is a member of the United States Equestrian Team, Kentucky Thoroughbred Breeders & Owners, and trains in Dressage.

One might say Lynn loves animals!!  For her, and for all around this young dog, Bourbon’s career has been intoxicating.  He finished with four majors at 9 months and was then AOM at Hatboro last Fall, where he was the youngest dog in the BOB ring – including the WD and WB. Bourbon completed his TT (temperament test) at 22 months.

His specials career began in January and he is already #3, within one breed point of being number two Akita!  Very exciting for a young dog in his first year out as a special.  His accomplishments to date portend great things for the future.

And well they should because many are saying he looks a lot like the famous Sachmo at this age. “BJ” says he’s more together than her legendary sire but indeed, he stirs memories of that great dog. He should. The pedigree is there, the quality is there.
